Follow this guide to configure your environment and capture your first thought.

1. Configure Audio

Before you start, ensure Algorhythm is listening to the right source.
  1. Locate the Microphone Menu in the top-right corner of the window.
  2. Click to select your preferred input device (e.g., MacBook Pro Microphone, AirPods).
  3. Optional: Toggle Studio Mode (waveform icon) for high-fidelity recording (48kHz stereo), perfect for meetings or detailed voice notes.
Studio Mode uses higher bandwidth but delivers crystal-clear audio quality, ideal for accurately transcribing technical terms or multi-speaker conversations.

2. Capture Your First Note

  1. Click the large Red Record Button or double-press the global hotkey (default: fn).
  2. Speak naturally. Algorhythm uses advanced speech recognition to handle pauses and corrections.
  3. When finished, click the Stop button.

3. Review

Once recording stops, your transcript will appear automatically.
  • Transcription: Your speech is instantly transcribed.
  • Edit: Make manual corrections if needed. The editor feels just like a standard text editor.

4. Ask the Agent

Need to find something later?
  1. Switch to Chat Mode (or press Cmd+K to open the Command Palette).
  2. Ask the Agent: “What did I say about the project timeline?”
  3. The Agent will search your notes and provide a contextual answer.
